Summervale

A southern province by the sea. One of the newer provinces and swiftly growing in power and influence as trade ships sailing north are docking at its harbors with ever more frequency. Famed in Serendipity as a paradise of mild, warm weather and lush gardens. It is in constant rivalry with Whitesands for trade relations, they being the only two provinces suitable for getting goods from the coast to the interior of Serendipity. Summervale, though a younger province, has been pulling ahead in this rivalry due to it direct river connection to Arca and the Ora, and also due to some shrewd negotiations with Adelan and Essyrni trade fleets.

Geography

Summervale was named for its narrow but deep river valley. Its landscape consists mostly of grasslands and light forests, with some respectable hills flanking the river valley. It's coast is broad, with many decent ports.

Areas of Note

Maycrest - The capital city of Summervale. It is located on the delta of the Illusiath where the river meets the sea. Maycrest is the third largest city in Serendipity, second only to Grand Reim and Arca, and it is swiftly growing.

The Illusiath - This river forms Summervale's southern border with Adela and is the only major waterway connecting Arca to the Hivan Ocean, making its security a high priority for the ruling house of Summervale.
